2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6: First Drive Review & Specs

Hyundai sets a new standard for electric sedans with the stylish 2025 Ioniq 6. Its aerodynamic design, spacious cabin, and rapid charging redefine what drivers can expect from an EV.

Performance & Range
Hyundai offers two battery options and optional dual motors for the Ioniq 6. The base model runs on a 53 kWh battery and reaches up to 240 miles per charge, while the Long Range RWD uses a 77.4 kWh pack and delivers 342 miles (with 18″ wheels). The AWD version generates 320 hp and covers up to 316 miles. Fast-charging technology refuels the battery from 10% to 80% in only 18 minutes.

Design & Efficiency
Hyundai engineers crafted the Ioniq 6 with a low drag coefficient of just 0.21. They added slender LED lights, flush door handles, and aerodynamic wheels to maximize efficiency. The 800V electrical system supports ultra-fast charging and better thermal management.

Interior & Comfort
Inside, Hyundai equips the Ioniq 6 with two 12.3″ displays and a minimalist layout. The front seats provide power adjustments and feature standard H-Tex artificial leather. Thanks to the flat floor design, rear passengers enjoy generous legroom, although headroom decreases slightly because of the sloping roofline.

Tech & Safety
Hyundai fits the Ioniq 6 with its latest advanced driver assistance systems, including Highway Driving Assist II, which allows automated lane changes on select trims. The Limited trim now includes a head-up display. Hyundai also supports the vehicle with over-the-air software updates and backs the battery with a 10-year/100,000-mile warranty.

Verdict
The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6 delivers an impressive electric driving experience. Its sleek design, long range, quick charging, and high-tech cabin make it a strong contender in the growing EV market.
